ADAM-X Xcel: Essential Full-Body Patient Simulator for Core Skills Training
The ADAM-X Xcel is a focused and cost-effective full-body adult male patient simulator designed to deliver essential training for advanced life support (ALS) and core clinical skills. This model provides the foundational anatomical structure and functional capabilities required for procedural training and simulating basic clinical scenarios.
The simulator features a life-like look with soft silicone skin and supports supine, lateral, and sitting positions. It is fully operational on battery power for up to 4 hours, being both tetherless and wireless, with an internal electrical power and air compressor.
Core Clinical Capabilities
- Airway: Supports basic and advanced airway training. Features realistic anatomy (tongue, epiglottis, vocal cords, trachea, and esophagus), allows placement of NP and OP airways, oro- and nasotracheal intubation, fiberoptic intubation, and includes airway complications like tongue and laryngeal edema. Sensors detect correct tracheal and esophageal intubation.
- Breathing & Chest: Can be ventilated with a bag-valve-mask (BVM) or be attached to real mechanical ventilators. Features variable airway resistance and allows chest tube placement. The system can simulate thoracic, diaphragmatic, and paradoxical breathing.
- Cardiovascular: Features an adjustable heart rate, blood pressure, and ECG rhythm. Supports blood pressure measurement with a real cuff and audible Korotkoff sounds, and ECG monitoring using real devices.
- Resuscitation: Ideal for CPR training with anatomical landmarks and realistic compression resistance. Sensors detect hand position and provide real-time feedback on CPR quality (frequency, depth, and release). Defibrillation can be performed using real devices and real energy. Compressions also generate ECG waves.
- Medication & Access: Allows IV access on the right arm and intraosseous (IO) insertion on the left tibia. Features urethral catheterization with fluid return (water or blood) and automatic drug recognition with included syringes. Allows for Nasogastric tube insertion.

MEDICAL-X warrants that its products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of shipment, unless a different warranty period is specified for a particular product in the product's documentation or on the MEDICAL-X website. This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser This warranty covers only defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service.
