Our Commitment to Accessibility

Anatomical Worldwide’s Commitment to Accessibility

Anatomical Worldwide LLC is committed to fostering an inclusive, user-friendly digital environment that supports and respects individuals of all abilities. We believe that accessibility is essential to creating an equitable experience for all visitors and customers. This commitment is demonstrated through our ongoing efforts to align AnatomyWarehouse.com with the highest accessibility standards.

Our Current Site

Anatomical Worldwide, LLC has invested a significant number of resources to help ensure that its website is made easier to use and more accessible for people with disabilities, with the belief that website accessibility efforts assist all users. This includes:

  • Improving color contrast for readability
  • Structuring pages with semantic HTML and proper heading levels
  • Using accessible typefaces and styling choices
  • Completed alt text entries for all images
  • Keyboard navigation
  • Adding appropriate ARIA roles (like role="button" or role="link") to custom clickable elements
  • Ensuring compatibility with NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access)

We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as the foundation for our accessibility work. Our latest full audit was conducted on April 7, 2025, and all future changes are reviewed with accessibility in mind.

Current Conformance Status and Audit Data

AnatomyWarehouse.com is conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, with ongoing efforts to maintain and improve compliance.

Known areas for improvement:

  • Some older content may still require updates to meet strict accessibility criteria
  • Occasional delays in Apps/third-party content compliance
  • Some links need HTML structure changes to ensure screen readers announce them correctly.
  • The content generated by the BigCommerce Customizer elements is non-editable, which limits our ability to ensure full ADA compliance.

We regularly monitor changes to the site and conduct audits to ensure conformance is preserved. Third-party content providers are encouraged to deliver accessible content and functionality.

Anatomical Worldwide, LLC continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of AnatomyWarehouse.com in the belief that it is our obligation to allow seamless, accessible, and unhindered use also for those of us with disabilities.

We regularly perform audits to ensure that we are maintaining our status of being WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliant. Despite our efforts to make all pages and content on AnatomyWarehouse.com fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of mistakes or changes to our site being made between our regularly scheduled website accessibility audits.

Additionally, we work with third-party vendors, and we strongly encourage vendors of third-party digital content to provide content that is accessible and user-friendly.

Future Updates

We are committed to continual improvement. Our accessibility policy is reviewed on a bi-annual basis and adjusted as needed based on user feedback and evolving standards. Planned improvements include:

  • New functionality will support keyboard and screen reader access.
  • PDFs are not fully accessible, please reach out to our team for an alternate.
  • We’ll keep monitoring the site for accessibility improvements.
