MEET THE TEAM: Mary LeDoux, Bookkeeper
Anatomy Warehouse: What department do you work in?
Mary LeDoux: Finance
AW: Tell me about your role at Anatomy Warehouse.
ML: I handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit references, and I help customers with invoices if they have questions. I support the Finance team.
AW: What do you like most about working at Anatomy Warehouse?
ML: I love working with Yingsa Long, our Staff Accountant! I’m fairly new, and she has been a wonderful teacher. She has been a great balance of patient, kind, and thorough. I also like the work environment here – everyone is nice, professional, hard-working, and there’s no drama or people crying.
AW: It’s true, we rarely cry here. You’re part-time, correct?
ML: That’s right. I had a long career working as Director of Operations for various companies, which included leading Finance, Operations, and HR teams, and now I’m taking a much-needed step back. While I may be working fewer hours, I’m still gaining new skills on the retail side of finance; I’m learning valuable stuff! The work is interesting and challenging. I get joy from solving problems – the win at the end is so worth it.
AW: Do you have a favorite product yet?
ML: I like the muscular models, the skeletons, basically anything that can be made into a puppet!
AW: That’s right, you’re an artist.
ML: I’m an artist and a collector – I have a pretty large collection spanning different styles and mediums, and I paint, make puppets, sculptures, and do embroidery. I also have a skeleton at home named Alfred. He has different outfits to celebrate holidays and special occasions. So when I saw what this company sells, I knew the job was perfect for me.
