Q & A

Q: How flexible are the ligamented joints on this model?
A: The joint ranges in allowable movement. We do not recommend you bend the shoulder joint past the suggested range of movement.

Anteversion = 10 degrees
Retroversion = 10 degrees
Internal Rotation = 10 degrees
External Rotation = 10 degrees
Lateral Movement = 10 degrees

Q: Does the model come off the stand?
A: This model is secured to the base with a threaded bolt and nut. Technically, yes, you can remove it from the base, however we recommend you keep the model securely fashioned to the base to avoid damaging the model. Keeping it mounted on the base also ensures flexibility is easy to demonstrate.

Q: Are there other products that I should get with this model?
A: This model pairs well with an anatomical chart, such as our collection of shoulder charts:

Muscles of the Shoulder and Back Laminated Anatomy Chart
Anatomy And Injuries Of The Shoulder Anatomical Chart
Shoulder And Elbow Anatomical Chart
Workout For Your Shoulders Laminated Fitness Poster
Joints and Ligaments Laminated Anatomy Chart
The Upper Extremity Laminated Anatomy Chart
Stretching for Head, Neck and Shoulders Laminated Fitness Poster
Shoulder Workout Laminated Fitness Poster

The Rudiger Anatomie Foot Skeleton with Ligaments, the Rudiger Anatomie Hand Skeleton with Ligaments, the Rudiger Anatomie Functional Hip Joint with Ligaments and the Rudiger Anatomie Functional Knee Joint with Ligaments all make great additions to your well-rounded joint model collection. We recommend that users collect models from the same brand to ensure a consistent learning or consultation experience.

Q: What kind of warranty comes with this model?

A: All Rudiger models are backed by a 5 year warranty.

Q: Does this model come labeled?

A: No, this model is not labeled, but all of the structures of the shoulder, can be easily viewed.

Q: Can the ligaments be removed from this model?

A: While the ligaments can be removed, they are not meant to be. Once they are removed you will not be able to put them back onto the model.

Premium Quality and Dependability

Designed and produced entirely in Germany, Rüdiger Anatomie is one of the leading manufacturers of anatomical models, skeletons models and wall charts. As a strong statement of quality, Rüdiger Anatomie provides one of the longest warranty periods in the industry right from the moment you receive your new product, guaranteeing it will faithfully perform during the Five Year Warranty.

What the Warranty Covers

Rüdiger Anatomie produces premiere skeletons and models, so don’t expect a lot to go wrong with your new model. However, if something does, having selected a premier model, you can be confident the warranty has you covered.

  • Here is what’s covered:
    • If your anatomical model breaks or significantly degrades from normal everyday use, defined as:

Warranty Limitations

Rüdiger Anatomie builds products that are built to last a lifetime. Each product is versatile and a must-have for anyone who wants the best of the best. Since this product has so many uses, unfortunately, the warranty warranty does have a few limitations.

  • We cannot cover misuse, improper storage, mishandling, or mistreatment under warranty. Because we provide models for education, repurposing models for use outside of demonstration, such as mechanical testing, device validation, or other clinical applications outside of education, the warranty shall be voided. Examples include:
    • Dropping your anatomical model.
    • Improper cleaning or storage of your anatomical model.
    • Modifications to the product, such as markings, additional or negated hardware, drilling, cutting, or otherwise altering your anatomical model.
    • Excessive stress on functional parts, such as vertebral stress or joint over-extension.
  • Damage due to negligence, theft, property damage, or the like are not covered by the Rüdiger Anatomie warranty.
  • Anatomical charts are not covered by the Rüdiger Anatomie Five Year Warranty.
  • While we will always be here to support you, we cannot provide customers with a return label for any products shipped to a location outside of the United States.

    Love it

Most people would balk at almost $300 for a shoulder model, but these people don't know what kind of model they would be getting here. I only get these for my practice just for the simple fact that it feels, looks, and has the details that a real human bone would have.

There are many shoulder injuries that come into my office. This model is a fun useful piece to have on my desk to share with patients.
