The Axis Scientific 7-Part Human Respiratory System Anatomy Model with Removable Heart and Lungs features the anatomy of the lung and a great study of the human respiratory system. This lung model includes removable parts, providing distinctions between the lobes of the lung. The removable left and right lung are further identified into the superior, middle, and inferior lobes in the study guide. Also represented in the model are the fissures that divide the lobes in both the left and right lungs.

Once the left and right lungs are detached, the tracheobronchial tree, which is comprised of the trachea, bronchi, and bronchioles, is exposed in full display to represent the airways that facilitate an exchange of gases inside the body. The trachea (windpipe) is featured in place with the carotid area and branches off into two bronchi. This model presents the size and positioning difference between the right principal bronchus and the left principal bronchus. The bronchioles on the left and right lung are displayed in different views: a complete look of the branches that intertwined with the pulmonary veins and pulmonary arteries, and the other a coronal view of the insides of the branches.

The esophagus and diaphragm are also featured on the model to show their locations in relation to the other respiratory organs. With the detachable heart removed, the esophagus is shown running behind the trachea and into the diaphragm. The model details the striations in the diaphragm, the main muscle that helps respiration.

2-Part Larynx Anatomy Model
Aside from breathing, this lung anatomy model also features the structures necessary for voice production. The model features a detachable larynx (voice box) that bisects into 2 to expose the internal anatomy.
