Q & A

Q:  Can this skeleton be articulated / assembled?

A:  While we believe nothing in this world is impossible, assembling this skeleton is not part of its intended uses and would require advanced skill (and unique hardware not provided with the skeleton).  Just like all other disarticulated skeletons available at AnatomyWarehouse.com, this skeleton is intended to be studied in immense, focused detail.  Also, this model is only half of the human skeleton.  If you are looking for a full, disarticulated human skeleton, consider the Axis Scientific Complete Disarticulated Human Skeleton.

Q:  What is the model made of?
A:  This model is made of a high-quality PVC plastic.

Q:  Who is this model made for?
A:  This skeleton is ideal for advanced study of the human skeleton anatomy, because it gives users unrestricted access to all anatomical details.  Many university students use this skull in high-level anatomy and physiology courses, and it is a favorite among teachers of all levels.  Many forensics experts love this skeleton because of the incredible detail and quality, as well as the challenge it can pose to students who need to learn how to positively identify human remains in any condition.

Q: Do you offer a full disarticulated model instead of the half?
A: Yes we do. The full disarticulated skeleon is the Axis Complete Disarticulated Skeleton.

Q: Does a wired hand come with this set?
A: No, this set does not come with a wired hand. The hand that comes with this model, is completely disarticulated.

Q: I lost my skull. Is there a way that I can purchase another?
A: Yes. The skull that comes with this model is the Axis 3 Part Skull.

Q: Is this model life-size?
A: Yes, these bones are a replica of an adult male skeleton, and it is life-size.

Q: Are the bones labeled or numbered?
A: No, the bones are not labeled or numbered. This makes it a great model for practicing identifying each of the individual bones on their own.

Q: Does this come with a case?
A: No, this model does not come with a case.

Q: What half of the skeleton will I receive?
A: You will either receive all left side bones or all right side bones.

Q: Can I buy these bones separately/individually?
A: Yes, with the exception of the hyoid bone, sternum, and the soft intervertebral disks, all of the bones in this set can be purchased individually. Most of them can be found in our Skeletal Models category, which you can access by clicking here.

Q: Are all the bones separate?
A: Yes! With the exception of the three-part skull, all the bones in this disarticulated skeleton are separate, including all vertebral pieces.

    Class Aid

This product is a good specimen for my class. My student will enjoy this skeleton model. It’s substantial for studying and recognizing the individual parts of the human skeleton which are disarticulated. This model that offers a great amount of details of the human skeleton is a budget friendly.

    Quality

I love the feel of the bones in this model. Heavy duty and do not feel cheap at all. Wish I would have gone ahead and got a full disarticulated skeleton, but I do not regret this purchase.

    Exactly what was needed

Half was just enough. I didn't need the additional side since that is basically just doubling the pieces. Right price, right amount of study aid.
