I'm pleased with this item. It took a little work to attach the leg bones to the hips, but other than that, it was fairly easy to put together. It's a good little model in mini form.
Neat little model. Sits on my desk without taking up a ton of space. Very detailed and helpful for something of a mini size!
I named him Fred. This skeleton is a perfect addtion to my desk. He is kind of tall and towers over my computer and I think of him as my study buddy helping me through long nights.
I actually got this model based on the other review that I saw here. “Phil” was right. The quality of this model was so much better than some of the other cheaper models that I have gotten in the past. Totally worth me spending a few extra dollars for something that is actually going to last more than a year or two..
I recently purchased the Axis Scientific Miniature Skeleton and the Flexible Mr Thrifty Skeleton Anatomy Model with Spinal Nerves with the intention of keeping one or the other. As soon as I opened both skeletons and looked at them side by side I could see that the quality of the Axis model was worth the additional money. The Mr Thrifty model is made of a more brittle composite material that did not instill confidence in its overall construction. The Axis model is very well made and is a beautiful piece for the money. The overall construction of the Axis model is very durable and should last for a number of years even if it is handled on a regular basis. I have purchased many mini and full sized skeletons over the years and the Axis is one of the best I have seen. I would also like to add that customer service (Liz) from Anatomy Warehouse was fast and friendly and makes you feel like you actually matter to them.
