The Axis Scientific Half-Life-Size 27-Part Muscular Figure with Removable Organs Model features a removable abdomen to expose removable and dissectible internal organs. Superficial and deep muscular is also represented on the model, with some muscles being removable. This sexless human muscled figure is a high-quality and highly detailed representation of human anatomy.

Head and Neck Region
The model features a removable calvarium that exposes the removable and dissectible 2-part brain. The brain divides into 2 parts to provide a cross-section view of its anatomy. The parts, lobes, and nerves of the brain are numbered and identified. Once the brain is removed, the cranial cavity displays the complete cranial fossae.

The brain model features the cranial nerves and provides a view of the 2 different nerve origins: the cerebrum (the optic and olfactory nerves) and the brainstem. The nerves coming from the brain stem can originate from a specific part of the midbrain, pons, or medulla oblongata, or in the junctions between them.

The muscular figure’s face and neck display the superficial muscles, glands, arteries, veins, and some viscera. The facial muscles that control the face’s expressions are represented on the model. The facial nerve (CN VII), also featured in the 2-part brain in the model, controls these muscles. The facial muscles can be subdivided into the orbital group, nasal group, and oral group. The individual muscles in these groups are featured on the model.

The model features a removable colon (ascending, transverse, and descending) with the attached jejunum, duodenum, pancreas, and appendix. Another separate, detachable part is the stomach, complete with the 4 anatomical sections of cardia, fundus, body, and pylorus.

Pelvic organs and the urinary system on the model come attached to the model.
