Description

This beautifully detailed skeleton from Axis Scientific serves as the perfect tool for studying both the skeletal and muscular systems. It features muscle origin and insertion points painted and numbered on one half, and flexible ligamented joints of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle on the other. The spine is also flexible, making it a great tool for displaying how the skeletal and muscular systems work together. Comes with a corresponding, full-color product manual. The arms (attached by a bungee cord) and legs (attached with metal hardware) are movable, and the fingers and toes are flexible. This model uses a pelvic-mounted metal stand on a lightweight plastic, 5-caster wheel base for sturdiness.

Axis Scientific has carefully designed a line of products that provide quality models for an affordable price. These models will serve as the perfect go-to guide for both students and educators alike.

Made by Axis Scientific and backed by a 3 year warranty. Measures 66 inches (5 ft 6 in) tall. Weighs approximately 26 lbs.

Q: What is the model made of?
A: This model is made of a high-quality PVC plastic. The stand is made of metal and plastic.

Q: What's included in the box?
A: Upon delivery, you will receive the complete skeleton and a 5-caster rolling stand. You will need to attach the legs and skull to the skeleton, as well as assemble the stand and mount the skeleton to the stand. Average setup time is 5-10 minutes for most users. Not super flexy

Posted by Grant C on Feb 28th 2018

Happy to have this model in our lab for quick reference. I wouldn't call it flexible, but the other elements of the skeleton are great.

    Fantastic

Posted by Marvin on May 3rd 2017

Having purchased Axis products in the past, I knew what a great value this would be. Having all of these extras on a skeleton really helps make it more than just a skeleton. This is a full on study piece for my students to use. Something tangible that they can get their hands on.

    Glad we got it

Posted by Yamilet K on Jul 11th 2015

This was a great addition to our clasroom anatomy lab. The ability to move and flex the skeleton at various points - the spine especially - made explaining the role of the skeletal system to my students very easy.
