Description
New from Axis Scientific, this complete vertebral column is a perfect choice for patient education at a great price. This exceptional piece allows for a thorough study, as well. It displays the spinal nerves clearly, as well as the cervical vertebral artery. The occipital plate is also present. The spine itself features a fixed articulation in the vertebral column and at the SI joint, and represents a male pelvis.
While this spine is ideal for general patient information sessions, it also displays a herniated disc between the L3 and L4 vertebrae. Herniated discs, also called slipped discs, are commonly attributed to aging, but can also occur in instances of physical trauma, lifting injury, or strain. This detail allows medical professionals to display this condition easily and clearly.
The spine is of a realistic size and weight, and is accompanied by a simple but attractive metal stand for easy display. The hook at the occipital plate allows the spine to be rotated while hanging on the stand, too, making it easy to display both sides.
Made by Axis Scientific and backed by a 3 year warranty. Measures 12.5 x 34 x 8.5 inches when hanging from stand. Spine alone is 29 inches in length. Weighs 5.5 lbs.

Good but needs flexibility
This spine was a big help when I was studying in chiropractic shool. It still sits in my office now. The only thing is that the spine isn't flexible. I didn't expect it to be, but as time went on, I wish I had spent a little more to get the flexible one.
