MEET THE TEAM: Vicki Gutmann, Client Relations Team Manager
Anatomy Warehouse: What department do you work in?
Vicki Gutmann: Customer Relations Team
AW: What part do you play as the client relations manager?
VG: I head up our Customer Relations team, the most important department at Anatomy Warehouse! I make sure that our reps have everything they need to ensure a smooth experience for our customers, from the first inquiry to the day they receive their order, and beyond!
AW: What do you like most about working at Anatomy Warehouse?
VG: We have a great group of people working here. Everyone here really believes in the products we sell and wants to do what's best for our customers. Maybe you have to be a little quirky to love our product line, but we're all quirky in the best possible way!
AW: Agreed! But customer relations isn’t your first career, is it?
VG: It isn’t. I was a dancer for a long time, and so I’ve always been very aware of muscle groups and bone structure. When I was teaching dance, I used to keep a little skeleton in my studio to demonstrate movement and alignment to my students. For example, the relationship of your hips to your ribs, and just the correlation between all the bones. If you are not aligned correctly, it throws off your posture and you wind up overcompensating, so making sure the bones are moving in the right way is super important.
AW: And that was your first job?
VG: Actually, when I was in high school, I worked at a blood bank as a “juice and cookie” girl. But eventually I started getting more responsibility and I was taking blood pressure readings, using hemostats, running blood to the labs, that kind of thing. I worked there in summers in college as well.
AW: Fun! So, do you have a favorite product?
VG: I'm a big fan of the Axis Scientific Human Lumbar Demonstration Model with Herniating Disc. Besides being a great interactive tool that demonstrates one of the major causes of lower back pain, it's super squishable and fun to play with!
AW: Are you local to the area?
VG: Yes, I grew up in Glenview, IL.
