Pediatric Full Body for X-Ray CT, US
Product Description
The Pediatric Full Body Phantom for X-Ray CT and Ultrasound is a life-size, anthropomorphic training tool designed based on the model of a 4-year-old child (102 cm / 40" height). It is constituent of 10 body parts and is primarily used by medical schools and teaching hospitals to train radiology students in various patient positioning techniques and visual evaluation for optimal scanning conditions.
Constructed with realistic tissue-mimicking materials, the phantom includes a skeleton built from individually cast bones using a patented epoxy-based composite material with a realistic three-layered structure. This model presents a sustainable, ethical choice for research and education, as it can withstand repeated radiation without deterioration.
Note: By default, the phantom comes in a translucent amber appearance. A skin feature can be included upon request. All standard phantoms are coated with a protective layer of harder urethane rubber, which increases the "Body Tissue" hardness from Shore OO 30 to approximately OO 60.
