This easy to assemble and beautifully detailed Axis Scientific skeleton adds to Anatomy Warehouse's leading selection of high quality and affordable skeleton models. The Axis Scientific Classic Flexible Human Skeleton is a great option for studying the skeletal system. The flexible spine is most descriptive for displaying how the skeletal system moves and works together with the bodies muscles, nervous and circulatory systems. The arms and legs are movable, and the fingers and toes are flexible.
This Axis Scientific Classic Flexible Human Skeleton Stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and towers over the competition. He offers an exceptional level of detail, including major and minor anatomical features and structures, right down to the tiniest detail, and now features and durable and flexible spine.
The skull easily detaches from the body of the skeleton, it has a removable calvarium, or skull cap, secured with pegs as well as magnets for added stability. Axis Scientific keeps the external hardware to a minimum for an uninterrupted study of the skull. Inside the skull, the sutures, the foramen, and groove is visible, allowing for a full view of these internal and external structures alike.
When replaced on the skeleton, the skull sits comfortably on the flexible wired axis, allowing meaningful movement of the skull. The hyoid bone is easy to study with or without the skull in place. The skeleton is fully articulated, and can replicate all of the natural movements at the joints. The arms, attached by bungee cords, can clearly display flexion, extension, abduction and adduction, circumduction of the shoulder, and even pronation and supination of the radial-ulnar joint. Similarly, the legs, attached by metal hardware, can perform all the movements of the acetebulofemoral joint and knee. The model uses a pelvic-mounted metal stand on a lightweight plastic, 5-caster wheel base.
Also included with the Classic Flexible Human Skeleton is Axis' Study and Numbering bundle. The centerpiece of this bundle is a 27-page, full color, highly detailed studying and numbering guide. The guide comes with 189 numbered stickers to be placed on the skeleton for a more interactive learning experience. The Study and Numbering guide also features in-depth discussions about such topics as skeletal system physiology and bony feature terminology to take your knowledge to the next level. The bundle also includes two free gifts that will allow you to show off your love for anatomy anywhere you go.

Medical Education, Patient Consultation, Medical Illustration
This is definitely flexible. I have had other skeletons in the past that said they had movement in their spine, but nothing like this.
This is a great skeleton, but one of the things that makes it stand out above other products is the study guide that comes along with it. For sure will buy fomo this brand again when school resumes.
