Description
Introducing the new Axis Scientific Large Canine Skeleton. Flexibly mounted to a whitewashed wood base, this model stands 20” tall to the withers and about 42” snout to tail. The hips, stifles, tarsals, shoulders, elbows and carpals are attached by wires allowing demonstration of full joint function and the mandible is attached by springs for jaw articulation. The detailed mold of the foot on this canine model features easily identified metacarpal bones, phalanges (proximal, middle and distal) and the palmar sesamoid along with many others. The tail has some flexibility to be reached out and back or tucked under.
This model would be a good learning tool for veterinary students studying the skeletal structure of a canine for comparative study. Also, this model would be a great display piece in an animal hospital for demonstration and explanation to pet owner.
