Axis Scientific Life-Size Cervical Spine Model with Nerves and Arteries
The Axis Scientific Life-Size Cervical Spine Model with Nerves and Arteries is an anatomically correct representation of the human cervical vertebral column. The model highlights the articulated cervical vertebrae section of the spine, as well as the occipital bone, circle of Willis, and the spinal nerves and arteries located in this portion of the spinal column.
The spinal nerves and arteries are color-keyed to differentiate between them and other features on the model. The life-size model also includes a desktop base stand, making it perfectly compact for display and study anywhere. This high-quality cervical spine anatomy model was cast from an original human spine specimen and is a perfect resource for medical students, educators, and professionals.
FEATURES
Life-Size Cervical Spine Model
The Axis Scientific Cervical Spine Model with Nerves and Arteries features all 7 cervical vertebrae (C1-C7), including the spinal nerves, spinal cord and its branches, the circle of Willis and vertebral arteries, and the occipital bone. The cervical vertebrae column is articulated to display the positioning of each vertebra in the neck and the column’s functions: providing a pathway between the nerves and arteries in the brain and the spinal cord, protecting the spinal cord, and supporting and stabilizing the head.
The cervical spine model is anatomically correct and was cast from an original human cervical vertebral column. The model is composed of individual cervical vertebrae with the corresponding bony landmarks for each. In between each vertebra are intervertebral disc replicas made of softer material to represent their cartilaginous characteristic. Included in the model is the occipital bone situated just before the Atlas (C1) and Axis (C2) to illustrate the cervical vertebrae’s proximity to the cranium.
Arterial and Nervous Pathways
The Axis Scientific 8-Part Brain is detachable from the 3-Part Skull Model and features all 4 lobes of the cerebrum, the cerebellum, brain stem, and parts of the limbic system. The detachable parts of the brain divide into the frontal and parietal lobes (2 parts), temporal and occipital lobes (2 parts), the cerebellum (2 parts), and the brain stem (2 parts). This life-size brain model is numbered and includes a detailed study guide that identifies the correct anatomy featured on the model.
Among the vertebrae and the arteries is the spinal cord and its nerve branches, representing part of the Central Nervous system (CNS). These nervous pathways and branches connect the brain to other parts of the body, acting as message receptors and transmitters to allow the body to function and feel sensation. The cervical spine model presents these spinal nerve pairs in yellow for easy identification and study.
Base Mount
Our Cervical Spine Model with Nerves and Arteries is attached to a fixed base to provide a detailed observational view of the model. The desktop base allows for easy study and storage of the model.

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS: Perfect for students, medical practitioners, professionals, and artists.
Students
Anatomy, medical, and general science students can gain incredible insights with this life-size cervical spine model. This anatomically accurate representation of the complete human cervical vertebral column provides a highly detailed study of the vertebrae, nervous pathways, and spinal arteries involved in this specific region of the spine. The model includes a fixed base stand, making it easy to study, display, and store.
Orthopedists and Orthopedic Surgeons
Medical Professionals in the orthopedic department can use this model to explain and demonstrate common spinal conditions and injuries, specifically those that occur in the cervical vertebrae. The model illustrates the bony structures in the neck that support the weight and movement of the head. Conditions and injury in the vertebrae and intervertebral discs can be better explained with a visual resource that this model offers.
Neurologists and Neurosurgeons
The proximity and relationship between the occipital bone and the atlas (C1) are represented in this cervical spine model. Neurologists and neurosurgeons can use this model as a patient demonstration tool to explain cranial and spinal conditions, injuries, and treatment. In addition, the model features the circle of Willis which helps facilitate blood flow in between structures of the brain.
Chiropractors
Licensed chiropractors can also use this anatomy model as a visual guide for clients looking for manual therapy of the spine, such as cervical spine manipulation which is a common chiropractic method. This model highlights the cervical vertebrae, one of the more important regions of the vertebral column.
Artists and Anatomists
Produce high-quality anatomical art with an anatomically correct life-size spine model. The realistic details and bony landmarks are great tools for understanding the basics of human spine anatomy for artistic endeavors. This mode is also useful for comparative anatomy studies for differentiating between the different types of human spinal vertebrae (cervical, thoracic, and lumbar) and how they vary from other vertebrate species’ cervical vertebrae.
