Description
Adult Head (Dynamic) for X-Ray CT, US, MRI
Product Description
The Adult Head (Dynamic) Phantom is highly realistic and visible on Ultrasound, MRI, and X-Ray/CT scans. It is particularly valuable for angiography training and applications. The brain parenchyma is crafted from ultra-soft polyurethane-based material that mimics living soft tissue, and its anatomical shape is based on human MRI datasets. The materials are engineered for long-term stability and will not dry out over time.
The phantom includes a realistic vascular system with an incorporated Circle of Willis, featuring bifurcations, stenosis, and aneurysms. These vessels can be filled with blood-mimicking fluid or contrast agents (Barium-sulfate, Iodine, Gadolinium, etc.). For MRI, the phantom provides realistic T2 relaxation time values, making it ideal for T2-weighted and proton-density imaging.
Note: By default, the phantom comes in a translucent amber appearance. A skin feature can be included upon request. For best imaging results, blood vessels should be pre-filled with water or contrast agent.
Anatomy
- Skull: Realistic three-layered structure with inner diploe layer.
- Brain: Grey Matter parenchyma.
- Vascular System: Complex brain vessels (2mm, 3mm, 4mm), Circle of Willis, one bifurcation, one stenosis, and two aneurysms.
- Neck: Vessels connected with the neck and plastic connectors.
- External: Alignment markings and acoustically correct skin-mimicking material.
