- SOMSO Anatomical Section Of The Head with MRI Imaging
Description
A unique sectioned model of the head meticulously hand painted is perfect in its detail. Designed in consultation with Dr. J.W. Rohen, this model shows the anatomical structures of 10 consecutive horizontal sections through the human head. Sections are oriented to the plane usual in CT and MR imaging (CA-CP plane) and have the same section thickness (0.8 cm). The sections were modeled on original preparations and are illustrated from above. The model shows mainly the upper area of the head - the cranial cavity and the orbit down to the base of the skull. Horizontal section thru the lower parts of the oral and nasal cavity and neck area are not included. All sections are mounted on a vertical stand. Each cross section pivots out or can be removed from the stand for study.
Model is life size, and made of durable Somso-Plast. Includes explanatory booklet with corresponding MRI images.
