Description
Chickens are, without contest, the most common birds in the entire world. In 2003, more than 24 billion chickens populated our planet, with many acting as sources of food, whether from eggs or meat. However, the first domestic chickens were brought from India for the purpose of cockfighting, with little attention going to their potential as food. Chickens are social birds, living in flocks, and establish strict hierarchies, or pecking orders. While they are common, these birds are no less fascinating to study.
At 8 tall, this model is made of 32 parts and organs, plus a display stand. It includes an illustrated assembly guide, which offers information about hen habits, the life cycle of the chicken, and more, plus a quiz to test your knowledge. It is an excellent addition to any animal science study, and a great visual aid for science fair projects.
While this model has a reasonable level of detail, it is intended for younger audiences, and will not satisfy those looking for an advanced model. If you are interested in something more advanced, or are not sure if this model is right for you, please contact our support team.
Designed for children 8 years and up. Made by Tedco Toys.
