The VATA Dehisced Wound Board is a realistic patient simulation model for educating various individuals about dehisced wounds and their care. This VATA model displays a 4.75" x 1.25" stapled dehisced wound with both undermining and tunneling present in the wound. Great care has been taken to recreate and hand paint the dehisced wound just as you would see it on a patient for the most life-like patient training scenario.
The Dehisced Wound Board is also an excellent visual aid for educating those who cannot read well enough to understand basic health care information, allowing them to see and understand what is needed for proper care. Routine cleansing and dressing changes can be taught and practiced by healthcare providers, patients, families, and caregivers.
The Dehisced Wound Board is made of a life-like material that permits the application and easy removal of dressings, without leaving an adhesive residue. Patient-approved ointments, standard dressings, and vacuum-assisted closure or negative pressure wound therapy devices can be demonstrated and practiced. This wound care model is a great tool for training, competency testing, skills assessment, dressing techniques, and use of negative pressure wound therapy devices!

All merchandise manufactured by VATA, Inc. is warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the product’s shipped date. This limited warranty covers all defects in material and workmanship in the VATA manufactured products except:
- Damage resulting from a failure to maintain and store the VATA product in accordance with product instructions, including failure to properly clean and store the product
- Damage resulting from abuse, neglect, accident, misuse or incorrect use of the VATA product
- Damage resulting from a repair or attempted repair of the VATA product
This limited warranty does not apply to any products offered by VATA that are not manufactured by VATA, but by other parties. These products may be warrantied by the manufacturer of the product. VATA is not responsible for damage or injury to persons or property that may result from improper use of our products.
