Description
This Gluteal Intramuscular Injection Model is designed to provide students the opportunity to practice a series of techniques, including inserting an intramuscular injection needle and injecting drug simulated solutions. The model can be placed in various positions to permit students the practice of determining the appropriate injection site and angle, and the positioning of the patient. - Kokens model injection sites correspond to the measurement methods of Von Hochstetter and Clark, and simulates the actual position and feeling of the human skeletal structure required to determine correct injection sites under realistic conditions. Inserting the injection needle into an area other than the correct injection site causes an alarm to sound. - The model also includes a stand to position the patient in a lateral recumbent position. The injection site components and epidermis are easy to replace.
