The Thyroid Disease Model and its accompaniments are great for patient education, medical school study or an anatomy enthusiast. It is perfectly suited for being displayed in an endocrinologist's or thyroid surgeon's office where patients can interact with it.
This model has a normal thyroid gland showing its location around the trachea, including the larynx. It also displays the hyoid bone, thyroid membrane, thyroid cartilage, cricoid cartilage, and trachea.
Included are three diseased thyroid models which depict the following diseases: Hashimoto's thyroiditis (lymphocytic thyroiditis), Graves' disease and papillary carcinoma, which are detailed on one side of the card. The other side of the card depicts detailed information about symptoms resulting from hypo- and hyperthyroidism.
